Larry F. Gainen’s practice involves all aspects of representing the various participants in the construction and design process: architects, engineers, specialty consultants, contractors, subcontractors, construction managers, owners and developers. Larry has tried numerous cases in state and federal court, and has arbitrated and mediated many others, involving design and construction disputes such as delays, cost overruns, defective construction and professional negligence.

In addition, Larry focuses on negotiating and drafting construction and design agreements, and is extensively involved in counseling participants in the construction process in project management and the ongoing operation of their businesses. A major portion of his practice is devoted to business advice on matters such as ownership transition and acquisitions of professional practices.  With decades of experience, Larry is able to quickly identify the issues in a dispute, and cut through the reams of documents generated in complex projects to focus on the critical factors that will aid in a prompt resolution.

Prior to founding Ingram in 1989, Larry was a partner in the law firm of LePatner Gainen & Block, and an associate at Shea & Gould. He has been named a Super Lawyer and has received an AV-Preeminent rating by the publishers of the Martindale-Hubbell legal directory.
