Commercial Litigation Intellectual Property
Mioko C. Tajika is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment, and Asia Practice groups. Mioko practices in both state and federal courts representing clients throughout New York and elsewhere in trials, arbitration, mediation, and appeals. Mioko’s practice focuses on intellectual property cases involving disputes over copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, and right of publicity, but she has also handled a variety of other matters, including cases involving contract law, antitrust law, class actions, defamation, employment discrimination, restrictive covenants, and securities fraud.
Mioko also provides client counseling on the proper use and enforcement of intellectual property rights, and renders advice to companies on their day-to-day employment issues. Mioko is a bilingual Japanese attorney and one of the founding members of the Japanese American Lawyers Network, a Japanese bar association in New York, and she has found a particular niche helping Japanese clients with matters in the United States.
Prior to joining Ingram, Mioko worked as a translator and at an art gallery in the Chelsea area of New York. During law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Board and served as the Note and Comment Editor for the Wisconsin International Law Journal. She has been named a Rising Star by the Super Lawyers legal directory.
